The following individuals are eligible to become members of the Library:

• Residents of the Prefecture
• Any individual who has been a permanent resident of the Prefecture for at least one (1) year.

Loans

Each member of the Library is entitled to borrow five (5) books for fifteen (15) days or 3 magazines, or 3 DVDs for one week.

School books and aids during the school year may be borrowed for one (1) day and for the rest of the time for one week.

Encyclopedias, dictionaries, rare books and material from the closed collections may not be borrowed.

If a member wishes to extend the loan period, they must inform the Lending Department

Members are responsible for the material they borrow from the Library.

Returns:

Readers who are unjustifiably late in returning books, despite receiving reminders from the Library’s Lending Department, will be denied borrowing privileges for at least one (1) year.

In the event of damage or loss of a borrowed book, magazine, or DVD, the reader is obliged to replace it.
